Had to tell someone that would understand my excitement. All of you were picked to hear it! It is a very old house, 2 story with a full attic. What I am excited about is that it has a full heated basement with a kitchenette in it. I will have room for lots more cages!!!! The kitchenette is perfect for cleaning cages and water bowls. The lizards might even like the shower that is down there too. It is going to need a lot of work, cosmetics mostly. The house is a repo and the old owners left in the middle of the night with what they could carry. Which means they left everything else! This is going to be so much fun. Pictures as soon as I know if my offer is accepted.

Sounds good, Tori! I've always wanted a house with a basement, but it never happened.
Shame for the previous owners, but great for you! I hope your offer is accepted.

How exciting!! And with a lot of 'extras' too, it's even better. I hope it all goes through for you!
I've always wanted a great big old house! I got a wee, tiny old house, so I guess it'll have to do!:D

It isn't exactly a beautiful house. It was built in the late 1800's. The entire house (not counting the attic) is a little over 3448 sq. ft. I figured it couldn't hurt to show you this much even if I don't get it.

Oh, but it has character! I like the dormers on the third floor and the cut off corners on the first floor. Hope you get it.

That house looks good and i hope you get it. You can keep lots of reptiles in it. I hope one day to get a chance of a house like it.

I moved to Michigan from North Carolina. We always had a houseful with 4 teenaged boys and one girl and all their friends. Not to mention it always seemed that some relative or nother needed a place to stay for a few weeks or months. I guess maybe now I'm hoping that since we'll have some room we can fill it up! So, as to your question james, yes I'll adopt you.:D But I must warn you....you must be willing to live with a lot of snakes, ok.... and lizards too.

I absolutely insist on it! I'm packing my suitcase now, Tori.:D
Actually, just out of curiosity, I was searching online for real estate in Michigan last night.... I chose a lovely lake-side property... only $3.8 million!

In NC I kept between 4 and 6 horses all the time, but actually I was thinking about using the barn for very large reptile enclosures. Yes. I have it bad....

Oh sweet heavens. I'm having a wicked attack of barn envy... sigh... I'd never leave that barn, I'd sleep out there with the horses!!!

I think the house looks really really nice! In my opinion it looks like an typical amrecan house, but I can be wrong...very wrong...

OR, you could just stroll onto the dude's property, notice the "snake problem" and fill your pockets with serpents. :P
