What web sites do you folks use to get supplies / enclosures / food or anything related?? I would really like to find a nice big enclosure that I could keep in my living room. Exo-Terra has some nice stuff but it seems you cant even buy direct from thier site.. and also the cage style is not really what im looking for. Does anyone here build custom enclosures to sell?

TIA

if you go to kingsnake.com in the classifieds theres a cages/racks section with plenty in it. Also if you want one that cant catch fire i would suggest boaphileplastics.com

what style enclosure are you looking for?

Truthfully, I am not 100% sure yet. I want to browse around to find some ideas.

I *think* i am looking for a full wooden enclosure, cabnets on the bottom for storage, maybe 4-5 foot tall by 4-6 foot wide 2-3 foot deep. I would like the front and sides to have glass. The actual enclosure for my ball would only to be the first 2 feet of the top. A nice secure top, maybe some sort of venting on the back wall, and a textured "rockish" background.

That is the best I can describe..

i would definatly make this, very cheap (cheaper than anything u will find online) and easy, 4x2 Cage (http://www.arbreptiles.com/cages/4x2.shtml) or 3x2 Cage (http://www.arbreptiles.com/cages/3x2.shtml)

I havent ever bought cages online, but some products. I have used LLLreptile.com, and Beanfarm.com. No problems with them so far.

I also check the kingsnake classifieds, craigslist, and ebay for certain items, and there are some items on amazon.com too, although you probably wont find much for enclosures.

My snakes are all housed in aquariums(bought locally) with home made lids, or home made snake racks. I have not bought a custom enclosure yet.

the online stores I use are The Bean Farm Store (http://www.beanfarm.com/store/agora.cgi) and reptilesupply.com - Reptile Supplies. (http://reptilesupply.com/)
the bean farm is the only place I've found, to get nolvasan
neither of them are great for caging
for that I used primarily these people: Glasscages.com - Home (http://glasscages.com/?sAction=Home)
if you're interested in getting something shipped, check out their acrylic knock-downs - they're pretty reasonable

Reed, that item actually sets on top of a regular 10 gallon aquarium, so you can still set up the aquarium like normal, it just gives it an open air upstairs.
I think it could work, as long as its secure. I have never used one though. They would have to like cimbing to make it worth it though, which from what I have seen of some of the other forum users, they do seem to like to climb.
