Following the fun we had with the Benthic Sampler in 'The Nature Photography Thread' earlier this evening, Stefan thought it might be a good idea to start a 'name the object' thread.

So if you own an unusual or mysterious item, that you think others might have trouble naming, post a picture in here and let us try to guess what it is...... just for fun.

I'll start the ball rolling with a relatively easy one.... it's all I could find at short notice.

"What's This?"

Cheated? :D Using google is allowed, of course.

I'm not claiming victory here either, I'm just verifying what LeAnn suggested. :p By the way, don't click on any links in google, if you want to avoid disturbing images. People don't just use it on farm animals.

Uh Gertie, so very wrong,

I guess in a pinch one could use the flat end to change a motorcycle tire, but this thing is made from aluminum, and trust me it would break if anyone attempted to unseat the bead of a car or truck tire with it.

I already chipped one corner of the flat end prying on something far less stressful than that.

I have a few doo dads about that are a lot tougher to figure out than this silly thing.

When I saw this on ebay last year Dorothy got excited and said she would beat me with it if I didn't buy it;)
