recently I've been doing a lot of digging, but once I've got the poke weed under control, the plan is to go back to karate

I lug 5 gallon buckets of feed around and frequently do very graceful backflips over a sly potbelly pig who has snuck up behind me and bumped the back of my knees. Sometimes I do belly crawls out from under a herd of goats who have bashed me over to steal the feed when I've been to slow. I hop about on first one foot, then the other, when the horses step on me. On occasion, I've finshed the daily workout in the mudhole in the field... but I hear some people pay good money for mud baths, so I'm pretty sure the animals are just trying to help my complexion when I land there...

Rhea, this is for you... my backyard last summer. Well, every summer.

If you come up with some magical poke weed eating creature, send me a dozen. LOL There's something else that grows in with the poke weed that has pretty purple flowers... I'll have to get a close up of it, don't know what it is. The goats do eat that.

I recently started a workout program at home. I do 30 to 40 minutes on my elliptical machine 3-5 days a week, also started with Pilates, and I use an exercise ball for various ab and leg toning.
Unfortunately, after two and a half years of NOT exercising, the old body is really taking it's time with results!! But it is coming along.............

Reed, if I tried running that much, my legs would disintegrate, and they'd have to bring my wheelbarrow out to get me home.

Used to play soccer & run track... especially since auto accident in January, pretty much nothing, need to remedy that!

My boys have played most "common" sports, but have finally whittled their sports down to water polo and swimming. My youngest is a freshman and just survived hell week for water polo :D Now I know why it's called hell week! Because EVERYONE in the family is put through it while the kid is too tired and crabby to even attempt to converse with! It wasn't required of freshman, but his brother was going anyway, so the little man went for it and did it! Man he's a back talking, hard to get along with, little monster right now, though! Especially getting him up for practice at 5am this morning... oh my lord... informed hubby that he has to get him up tomorrow!

Btw, he's snoring now... and there's no way I'm going to wake him until it's time for practice again this afternoon! Can't imagine how fun this is going to be when school starts Thursday!

If anyone here has ever been to Bangor, they'll know that a person walking around for 20 minutes struggles up enough hills for the journey to qualify as a proper workout...hehe.
