Figured I'd just restart the thread, since it's been a while. Here is Petra, my 1yr old male T.s.conccinus (Oregon Redsided) going through his shed cycle.

Blue eyed phase

Eyes have now cleared up....this is two days after the previous photo

the next day he began to shed in the morning, you can just see the skin is off the top of his head here

..and here's the shed (he finished while I was eating breakfast....took only less than 20min.)..you can just see one of the eye caps in the head section

Yeh, I'm hoping that as he gets older, more and more of the red will come through.

Very nice looking snake, I hope as Petra gets older, he'll develope more red in his head, but I hope he doesn't loose the light colour of the lower labials. I really like how it looks on him.:)

Is that picture inside or out? It looks like somebody's lawn, but you'd have to have a pretty tame garter (or a slow one) to just leave it there while you take a pic.

That was taken in my front yard...with the help of my daughter...she would cover the snake with her hands until he calmed down, then I took a bunch of shots, saved the best. My camera focuses better on the smaller ones in the grass rather than on my cabinet in the critter room.
