Julios Squeezer shed last night & needed some help getting some of the skin off. He is good size now & it is getting harder to handle him. My wife thinks I should get rid of him, but she just does not understand! Anyhow, he is soooo cool! Besides that, he makes a great home protection system...LOL!

very nice

Hard to handle as in heavy or as in trying-not-to-get-my-head-bitten-off?:)

What exactly do you keep him in?
Or how big is your house:)

He has an 8'long X 4'hieght X 4'deep cage in the Garage:D

Yes Stefan-A, he is a reticulated Python. About 5 years old now. He was only about as big around as my finger when I got him:cool:

Thanks, Jerry

That's a lovely looking Reticulate Python, Jerry. Very nicely marked for a snake of that size. I have only ever kept this species while they were still quite small.

Your baby is getting big?? That's an understatement!!!!
What a beautiful creature, though I wouldn't want to have to lug him around too much -- your poor back must be very sore!:D

Awwwwe! You make me jealous, I miss my retic Twizzler :(

Twizzler just... never.. stopped.. getting ill... he had chronic respiratory problems and a lot of $$$ invested at the vet with nothing to show for it! Then he started losing weight at terrifying speeds even though he was getting 5 mice a week... vet said there were no parasites... Twizz passed at 1 year old and just 6 feet. I can definately say that you bond with a retic a lot like you do your garters! I'll definately have another some day!

You have a very beautiful baby!! and he is kinda still a baby by retic standards :D

I am sorry for your loss:( The hardest thing about having pets is dealing with their passing on. I can tell you take real good care of your pets, but sometimes there is nothing we can do. I am sure everyone agrees on that.

I think he is over 100lbs now. He is very strong too. One time I pulled both my hamstrings when I had him out. I had to go to the hospital & could hardly walk for a few days:o:(.

Maybe that is why the houses on both sides of me are vacant? Is that why they were forclosed on...no one will live next to me:rolleyes:

LOL!! Hey... Thamnophis.com can form a corporation, start buying all the houses around you as they vacate (you'll have to strategically place assorted creatures around the neighborhood to encourage the vacating, of course) and soon we will all move in and form a commune! James shall be our leader, of course...

We can be an Autonomous Collective and form a country:
The United Dwellings of Thamnophis.

yeah
that'll happen when Long Island secedes from NY to form it's own state along with the free state of Bavaria and a number of smaller places such as Bolinas, CA (just some diverse examples)
