View Full Version : Snake ID
The cage is alittle messy from worms and such =[
Im not quite sure what type of snake it is,he's very freindly, and will let me 'pet' him,and he is somewhat calm when i hold him,[though he is extremly fast, and moves kinda weird]
if you need more pics, just tell me =D
when i went to take the pics,he had a worm cuddled up with him,i was going to take a pic of it,but he made the worm move =[

She's a very pretty one. Have you tried her on slugs yet? (the small, beige ones).

they adore slugs.
they are often called the gardeners best friend , because they eat the slugs that munch your lettus!!!
I have one, had him for a year NOW...
easy to take care of if you like LITTLE SNAKES.

Worms and slugs are a good basic diet... but you want the right slugs... not the great big black monsters!

Another Dekays..........YAY!!
What a pretty little thing! Definitely try slugs -- mine eats just about any size I've given him, but I'm beginning to think my snakes would eat deep-fried zucchini sticks and pizza if I offered it..........:D

if i presented it the right way, I bet my garters would bite at it too. But, let's not try that. ever. :)

No worries, I'm not going to attempt it! We have enough to stress about with mites, parasites and thiaminase--we don't need high blood pressure and cholesterol problems too!!:D

Look in areas where it stays moist, and there is lots of decaying leaves and plant matter. Under rocks is also a good spot to find slugs. At night they should be out and about all over the place!

If you leave pieces of orange peel (like little domes) out on your lawn overnight, you should find slugs congregated inside them in the morning.
