I've recently gotten a baby Garter snake [so i think] and don't know much about them,so figured i would come to a forum...and by looking around at the threads..this seems like the place to be.

You certainly came to the right place to learn about Garters. Do you know what species you have got? You don't sound too sure that it's a Garter! Where in the US are you? Can you post a photo of your new snake?

Sorry i didnt reply sooner was busy catching up on school work,the reason im un-sure if it's a garter snake is because i took it to the local petsmart,hopeing they could help me,but the snake person there...didnt really seem to know

at first he said it was a rat snake,until i told him how it had been eating some earthworms..then he looked threw some books,and told me wasnt quite sure.
ill post some pics up asap [hopefully tomorrow]
