Yes...This one had to come!

None of my parietalis look the same...They all are special in their own way...So if one person can have so many variety in 4.3 thamnophis sirtalis parietalis...Then you guys must have way more cool parietalis patterns!

The first of many pictures!

Male.

http://koti.mbnet.fi/thamnoph/photos/chrono/parietalis2.jpg
Female. Sadly, I don't have any proper pictures of her and the true colours don't come out in this picture. Has little dark pigmentation below the lateral stripe and the amount of red pigmentation decreases the further back you go, so the markings change from pale orange/red to pink to white. The markings are practically completely white past the first third of her length, but they are pretty clearly defined and the exact same shape and relative size as on the male above, forming bars along the entire length of the body. The word intergrade came to mind once, but she probably isn't one. Not especially pretty, I guess. Dull colours.

She may not be very red, Stefan, but I wouldn't say she's not pretty. Her pattern looks very 'clean' and well defined. And she has a lovely head shape.

Thanks. :D Here's a profile shot of that lovely head. ;)

I'm probably wrong, but isn't a grey head almost unique to parietalis, at least within the T. sirtalis group?

I have 2 parietalis babies, which so far have no red at all. I will try to get photos when we come out of the ice age.

I'm probably wrong, but a grey head isn't almost unique to parietalis.

those are real nice, Don
isn't it interesting how on some parietalis the markings are so clean and well defined, whereas on some others they look like a little kid's clumsy colouring job

so little Slither went to the vet today to get his lump looked at
abscess - baytril injections, 10 days
you can sort of see the abscess in the photos, if you look closely - the bump on the back
he's also a pretty bright boy - the red more orangey than that of the girls and the dorsal stripe very pale
