Hi

I ricently purchased one of these, and I have a few questions about him. He's only about 6 inches long, so I'm not sure how big of a container I should house him in, and I'm not sure how often he should be fed.

Thanks

Quite a small container will suffice for now. What is he housed in at the moment, Zach? I would feed him twice a week until he's a bit bigger.

Right now I have him in a deli container, and part of it is under a heat mat. For the four days I had him now he's eaten a guppy, and a pinky's leg.

do you have a petco or petstore near you? you can get one of those plastic critter keepers with the colorful lids, because a deli cup is much to small, how do you even get water in there? try to get a critter keeper or a small glass terrarium (10-15 gals) one so its good for a while like 1' x 8"-1' or the circular ones

Reeds' advice is right on the button... you really need to up size from a deli cup...... and give him a water bowl.

May I recommend the longer variety of container? It's a lot more ventilated too so humidity doesn't build up.
I can't exactly find a pic of it, but the dimensions are something like 2' x 1' x 4".
