My first week of vacation is 21 to 28 April...
One week to find the dens site in the best spot for flame.
this is a small location ,and I m almost sure to find a mating balls.

Usually at that time of year if the temperature is around 15 celcius,they emerge before the last snow vanish...but this year this project is compromised with all this snow...

Can't wait ....this location will become a golf course in a couple of year :(

Ha-ha!! We have family in Quebec, and they sent us pictures a couple weeks ago -- you can hardly see the rooftops of the houses over the snow!!:eek:
They'll probably still be tobogganing in August when we visit..................:D

Sunny and 3C here, and only a few snowbank remnants.:)

Lori, it is a Red-bellied snake- Storeria occipitomaculata. Same genus as a Brown Snake. Decided to bring her home at least short term. Already eaten 4 slugs.

Well, good for her!!! I dreamed last night I found a grey banded kingsnake in my creek. I'm DREAMING about finding snakes. I should get out more... lol I was quite disapointed when I woke up, because he was a very beautiful snake!!

Good luck with her... she's really cute. Will her belly stay so orange or darken to red (hence the name)??

Hey Rhea, I´ve tried to find your house on Google earth, but there were so many houses. When all those houses were trees you would be living in a forest;).

@Don
Can you explain to me :"What is snow?"
