Speaking of T-shirts..... at we time we discussed having Thamnophis.com T-shirts made. It might be a way to help boost the forum funds, also very useful at expos etc. I'd buy one.... anyone else?

Sure, if you can find a store that sells XXXL size T-shirts. :) Actually, I would be satisfied with a patch to sew onto one of my backpacks or something. I know it would be far more visible there, at least on me.

I was thinking something more 'understated', perhaps just a quality polo shirt, in green, with the Thamnophis.com logo on the left breast. I'm not really into picture T-shirts. Of course such decisions are up to Boots (Jason). I think I'll move this stuff to it's own thread.... it's getting way off topic!

I would definately sport a thamnophis t-shirt. Cept I would prefer to have it form fitting and with THAMNOPHIS on the whole front in big green bold letters. lol, sorry, it's just my style :) I sport reptastic t-shirts in this manner all the time!

You guys and girls are after my own heart. I have wanted to have t-shirts printed up for the forum for a while now. Being a fan of the old style crazy shirts humor, I might need some suggestions as to what to design. So any suggestions would be more then welcome.

A few choices would be good, but probably expensive to produce. Maybe we could have conventional T-shirts for the extroverts amongst us, polos for our more conservative members, and a teeny weeny one for Shannon!;)

Yeh I'd be into it, and the T-shirt thing sounds like the best way to go as well. Has anyone looked at CafePress? I know several societies and such have their shirts there (I've actually bought some!). I also agree with the shirt just having the Thamnophis.com emblem on it, either the back or on the front at the upper left area (dont' want to get that started again!:rolleyes:). Also might be a good idea to have the shirts in white or black, so that the emblem sticks out. If you use green, the emblem will kind of blend in.

My only preference is for a colored t... even soft grey... I just ruin white t's so fast. But that's just a request, I'll still buy one no matter what. :-)

its cool and no thaught will go in to a new design... or have a design contest!!
t shirts are always the most popular and can be hand cropped for a more personal fit!!!

Black is good for me. The logo, in green, would show up well. We would just need to alter the colour of the sub text 'Your Garter Snake Forum'.

Once plenty of members have T-shirts, we start a thread featuring pictures of the shirts in exotic, humorous or unlikely locations and situations..... in the Grand Canyon, up Mount Everest, in the shower (Shannon!;)), meeting the Queen/Pope.... you get the idea!
Let's get the shirts made and start having a bit of fun with them.:)

I've always really liked this site logo. Really I'm easy to please, but I'd rather have a tshirt than a polo so I get get a nice form fitting one like Shannon. ;-)

I don't though - or at least not during the day when I'd be sporting the tee in public
please - can we have black and another colour?
whenever I've gotten a black t-shirt because I loved the design or what it said, it ended up becoming a piece of memorabilia stored in the drawer
I cannot wear black and not look like I need a blood infusion or an undertaker soon
since I am not currently into looking sick as a statement, I don't wear black in public
I would really want to wear the thamnophis shirt at least to the local expo
and I don't want to look longingly at the shirt, thinking "what a great shirt, too bad I look like death in it"
I look awful in white too, but at least I can dye that

I'm happy with almost any colour. The only ones I can never, ever wear are fuschia and real pastel yellow.
I think most screen- printing places, once they have the design set up, would be able to pop in whatever colour tees people want, wouldn't they? Or is it not that simple?

i think that a black tee and a white tee would look good. a polo ... kinda strange. t-shirts look alot better, atleast thats how the style is here in wisconsin polos arent welcome all that well but t-shirts are always a grea thing. also a patch would be really cool like super cool t shirts (black and white with the logo) and a patch a patch would be awesome then i could put it on my laptop bag
