There have been a few posts recently requesting this or that species, and it got me wondering.... what Garters are you guys hoping/planning to get this year?
I have already ordered 1.2 parietalis and 1.2 sirtalis 'Flames'. No doubt I'll be tempted by one or two other species/sub-species as babies come onto the market. Certainly if any of the Mexican species or hammondii come available, I'll be buying those!:D

I love the 'red morph' terrestris too... but I doubt I'll be able to find them. Hence, they aren't on this years list for me.

I did have a wish list (still do - a "some time in the future" one)
at this time, however, there is very little that can tempt me
at the top of my temptation list is a mate for Chloe, Terry's maritime
next would be a mate for Mesa, the infernalis from Tori
then there is the equipment wish list
everything else is future wish list

That's Daniel's. He sent me a pretty comprehensive list last summer, when I was looking for more snakes (ended up buying the vagrans babies from him). I think he posted the same one in the classifieds section here, but I'm not sure. The ads I'm posting are OLD, so nobody make any decisions based on them, okay? :D
1.1 T s concinnus- Red-spotted (don't let me down, Don)
1.1 T Radix (Red morph)
1.1 T a zaxanthus- Diablo Range (if I can find them)

I'll be more than happy if I can find a Maritime or two in New Brunswick this summer. And I should have no problem finding another Eastern right here at home. That's about all I have room for at the moment!

My husband gave up fainting long ago... now he just casts suspicious looks around whenever he enters the house because he never knows what new critter lurks... LOL!!
I'm very lucky too. My "boyfriend"..? there has to be a better name for him at my age!...loves my garters, though he does flinch at the idea of me getting anything that grows even 5 ft long or longer. He won't touch them, but is all for me getting more garters. He loves to watch them and doesn't mind helping me build more cages. Who could ask for more?

Actually, my husband has said he kind of enjoys the smaller snakes, it's just that he doesn't want to have to buy food for more than a few.
But someday I'd really like a Pine snake, so I think I'll get one while it's very small, and just 'forget' to tell him they grow to six feet............:D:D

Well since all the girls are talking about how their significant other's react to their cold blooded companions....I am very lucky. when I met my boyfriend a year and something months ago when his family came over for our new years party, he knew that his little sister and my brother never let him alone about meeting me... but when he finally met me he was like... holy crap... I am surrounded by a bunch of snakes and this drunk girl is showin' em to me.
he had no idea about anything about a snake!!! the first thing i ever did with him was took him into the snake room and let him hold a snake for the first time ever. He has since really taken a liking to my hobby, he doesn't own any himself but he embraces the fact that I live breath and think snake... all the time. He travels to shows with me and even got me Sledge, my endearing little hognose for V-day.
I have since asked him if he thought I was weird when he first met me for having suc an obsession with snakes. His response was "Well sort of, but I thought you were pretty, then I learned that you were smart and I was very relieved"

kinda late on this thread but i plan to get some albino radix, red sided or another gulf coast Ribbon, and i plan to obtain some sirtalis stock from the pretty snakes in my own back yard. The reason for my limited list this year is my family still is against the whole buying the snake thing, most of them ive obtained when their "we're not getting anymore snakes"defences are down. But they love the Iguana, and hes about ready for a new cage, so what could we possibly do with that huge empty terranium...?:D
