Ohhhhhh your Bernese is GORGEOUS!!!! My old boss breeds and shows hers; she was at Westminster this year. What a great breed of dog!!! She brought four of hers every day to the feed store where we worked and they were a load of fun. They would babysit my baby goat kids when I was bottle raising them and had to take them to work. :-)

It means 2 males/ 1 female.

the first digit stand for the male, the second for female, and if you had a snake of unknown gender, it would be a 0.0.1

keeping a large collection well cared for is not hard at all as long as you have a SYSTEM. I always come home from work and spend at least an hour or two, if not more poopscooping, and feeding whichever snakes need fed that night in the snakeroom every day. Sunday is my big cleaning day.

When I go away my family looks after them.

Indeed. :D Might drop to 2.6 in about 4 days. ;) Or 1.4. (I think 1.0 might even change owner.) Then it might climb to about 2.6.48 in about 6 weeks. You never know. ;)

Yeh unfortunately I'm the only snake lover amoung my friends and family. Yeh, I've got a system laid out for my guys too, just kind of prefer a small collection. Love my garters to death, but I actually think I like them better in the wild. So this way I can have a small group to work with and still be able to go out as often as possible and appreciate them in the wild too.:D

I am half Finnish and I recall my first bird when I was little was Isko, then I had a whole bunch with ordanary names, but after Casey I didnt have any birds for the first time that I can remeber. when I started to get birds again, I wanted to go back in time and give all my birds Finnish names,as sort of reminisnt of Isko. so far I have had Taru and currently Toivo, my next bird will also receive a Finnish name :p

Definitely agree about the system part, but I dont have one single family member that will touch a snake(plus I currently live alone), and my only reptile-loving friends live outside of my town, so its a good thing they can go without care for several days when I go away.

Jerry, I'm pretty sure the 12 step addiction program begins with one eastern. And then step 2 is two pugets. Step 3 is three red spotted.... is your wife SURE she wants you in this program?? :D:D

See what I mean, how can I only keep a couple of snakes. They are all soooo awesome! It is hard for me as it is to get rid of the offspring every year. However, I know that if I keep over 100 snakes it will become more of a job than an adventure. I do not want that to happen, because I might loose the passion for them then. Although there is alot of work to take care of them, I still enjoy it!!!
Sincerely, Jerry

I wonder how much I'd drool if you'd post picture of your complete collection! You certainly have some very nice snakes! :)
