i just dropped my snake and she went under the fridg HELP what do i do!!!

CrazyHedgehog
03-17-2008, 01:35 PM
don't move the fridge as it will prob crush it.
Only move it if you have guys to lift it clean up .
try putting some food in the middle of the kitchen,
chances are if you have dropped it it might be a little freaked.

adamanteus
03-17-2008, 01:36 PM
Get help to move the fridge. Don't wait or the snake will move off elsewhere.

rwgsnakes
03-17-2008, 01:36 PM
locate any holes or cracks in walls or other appliances that it might be able to get into, fill those with something, paper towels maybe next find something long and thin, fishing pole, or a snake hook maybe and grab a flash light...gently presuade the snake to come out by gently touching or moving it with the object
good luck

OKAY thanks how about fish?

CrazyHedgehog
03-17-2008, 01:37 PM
fish is good, but the pokey idea is better... coax it out

Snake lover 3-25
03-17-2008, 01:45 PM
i took off the front vent now what?

i see her she's in the inside but i can't reach her!!!

adamanteus
03-17-2008, 01:55 PM
Can you hook her out with a wire coat-hanger or similar?

Snake lover 3-25
03-17-2008, 01:57 PM
man i lost her again!!!

no she's afraid of everything that come's near

:( man she's so tiny!!!

Stefan-A
03-17-2008, 02:00 PM
Here's an insane idea, have you tried flushing her out with a blowdryer?

I've heard people recommend it, but I have no idea if it works for real.

adamanteus
03-17-2008, 02:00 PM
It's really hard to offer any kind of help from such a distance. If it were my snake the fridge would be upside-down by now.

Snake lover 3-25
03-17-2008, 02:04 PM
no one is home... i just hope the lure of food'll bring her out... she has'nt eaten in 6 or 7 days...

Stefan-A

Upside down and coming apart.

Snake lover 3-25
03-17-2008, 02:05 PM
ooo i'll try the dryer!!!

adamanteus
03-17-2008, 02:06 PM
The lure won't work. After the stress of being dropped and then pursued, feeding is the furthest thing from her mind. You need to catch her while you still know where she is.

Snake lover 3-25
03-17-2008, 02:07 PM
GRRR i placed the fish between the dryer and the fridge i hope this works!!!

the fridge is in the corner so luckily she has nowhere to go

Man it's so dirty in there i cant see a thing!!!!

Help!!!!!!

adamanteus
03-17-2008, 02:15 PM
Flip the damned fridge!

Snake lover 3-25
03-17-2008, 02:17 PM
i cant i can berly lift 120 never 2000

barely....

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

adamanteus
03-17-2008, 02:22 PM
Don't try to lift it.... just drop it forward onto it's face. Don't try to slide it, or you might crush her. Good luck.... wish I could help.

Snake lover 3-25
03-17-2008, 02:24 PM
but she's inside the front of it i dont think flipping would help!!!

I'm just worried about electrocution for both of us!!!

and i'm the one poking around with a metal antenna

adamanteus
03-17-2008, 02:29 PM
Unplug it.

Snake lover 3-25
03-17-2008, 02:30 PM
the plug's behind it otherwise i would have...

i weigh less than 150lbs there is no way to flip it or move it!!!

GRRR no more holding her in the kitchen... that is if...

adamanteus
03-17-2008, 02:33 PM
You need help. Get some beefy neighbours to lift the fridge out and lay it down.

Snake lover 3-25
03-17-2008, 02:35 PM
it's only 4:30 no one is home!!!

i'd call my dad... he's the one who put it in... but it'll take him at least 1 hour to get here...

adamanteus
03-17-2008, 02:38 PM
From what you describe, I think the snake is in the void below the front of the fridge? If so, I think Stefan is onto something with the hairdryer idea...... You need to make outside more attractive than inside.... Use the dryer to make it uncomfortably warm in there and get ready to grab her when she comes flying out.

Snake lover 3-25
03-17-2008, 02:39 PM
i think i'll baracade it off to keep her in and my cats currently locked in the basement out...

Snake lover 3-25
03-17-2008, 02:41 PM
yes that's where she is...oh to make it too warm... i see where your going... i'll try it!!!

adamanteus
03-17-2008, 02:42 PM
Remember they can squeeze through the tiniest of gaps.... best check the kitchen for escape routes..... under the skirtings, around pipe-work penetrations etc. Good luck, Shanley.

Snake lover 3-25
03-17-2008, 02:43 PM
but what if she's stuck... wont it fry her...

adamanteus
03-17-2008, 02:43 PM
She won't be stuck... she's a snake.;)

Snake lover 3-25
03-17-2008, 02:43 PM
she's gotten stuck in some carzy places before...

then again her stomach is empty now...

P.S. your "Optimistic ideas" arn't needed i'm TRYING to stay positive!!!

she'll have to come out eventually right??????????????????????????????

althought you are helping ALOT!!!

adamanteus
03-17-2008, 02:48 PM
Try the hair dryer, Shanley. Otherwise she'll come out when you're not around to see her.

Snake lover 3-25
03-17-2008, 02:48 PM
it's on right now

EdgyExoticReptiles
03-17-2008, 02:49 PM
yea id just wait there an watch

she'll have to come out eventually right??????????????????????????????

Stefan-A
03-17-2008, 02:51 PM
Hours of waiting ahead.

Snake lover 3-25
03-17-2008, 02:54 PM
the problem is that only one side of the fridg is accessable to both of us and so she needs to come twards the dryer to get out!!!!

Snake lover 3-25
03-17-2008, 02:56 PM
what do i do????????

adamanteus
03-17-2008, 02:57 PM
Have you the patience to sit and wait for 'the cavalry'?:)
Don't take your eyes off her though!

Snake lover 3-25
03-17-2008, 02:58 PM
stupid fridge.......

Snake lover 3-25
03-17-2008, 02:58 PM
hmmmmmmmmm............

adamanteus
03-17-2008, 02:58 PM
stupid fridge.......

Yeah... blame the fridge!:p:)

Snake lover 3-25
03-17-2008, 03:01 PM
hey... it was her own fault... she's the one who decided that she wanted to fly right as we walked past...

:):):):(:(:( humph stupid everything.....

gosh stupid dog... learned how to open the door...

see i didn't even mean to call her stupid...

do you think that if i slam the fridge door enough it'll scare her out?

Stefan-A
03-17-2008, 03:12 PM
Nope. Will probably make her curl up even tighter.

Snake lover 3-25
03-17-2008, 03:12 PM
(sigh) :( so sad...

i guess i wont try that.....

now i smell like dead fish....

Snake lover 3-25
03-17-2008, 03:23 PM
i realy want to say wow i'm stupid and find her at my feet but i cant becaues she's not :( :( :( :( :( :(

Snake lover 3-25
03-17-2008, 03:25 PM
anyone have anymore idea's??? :(

adamanteus
03-17-2008, 03:26 PM
You're not stupid, Shanley. We all make mistakes. Don't worry, you'll get her back when your Dad comes home. At least you know exactly where to find her.

Snake lover 3-25
03-17-2008, 03:26 PM
do you think that if i lay rows of double sided tope down all the way around the fridge that she would stuck to it when she came out???

***"stick"*** :(

yeah one good thing vs. 100 bad...

Stefan-A
03-17-2008, 03:28 PM
Wouldn't recommend it. Getting her unstuck could quite possibly kill her.

adamanteus
03-17-2008, 03:28 PM
I've heard that it's a bad idea.... apparently they can get 'too stuck' and die. I really think that patience is your best bet now. Just sit and watch.... and wait for help to arrive.

Snake lover 3-25
03-17-2008, 03:29 PM
:( HHHHHHHHMMMMMMMMMMMMMM :( i need more ideas... (SIGH)

Snake lover 3-25
03-17-2008, 03:32 PM
man... it's been a while since i last saw her in there.... where could she be... still under there but where... it's so dirty... how about a vacuum? Just kidding i'm not THAT dumb... i hope... :(

Snake lover 3-25
03-17-2008, 03:35 PM
man i'm gonna be in so deap.... especially if he has to move the fridge...

Snake lover 3-25
03-17-2008, 03:38 PM
sooooooooo boring!!!!!

Snake lover 3-25
03-17-2008, 03:43 PM
man i have to turn off the dryer... it's like 100 degrees in there not even joking

Snake lover 3-25
03-17-2008, 03:44 PM
what to do what to do... as you can see i'm not very patient

adamanteus
03-17-2008, 03:46 PM
I think maybe you're right to turn the dryer off now.... it's been a while, obviously it's not working as we hoped.

Snake lover 3-25
03-17-2008, 04:00 PM
:( (sigh) :(

Snake lover 3-25
03-17-2008, 04:04 PM
the problem is that only one side of the fridg is accessable to both of us and so she needs to come twards the dryer to get out!!!!
What else can i use to scare her out...? how long has it been anyway?

Snake lover 3-25
03-17-2008, 04:06 PM
wow 2.5 hrs...

Snake lover 3-25
03-17-2008, 04:06 PM
it still kind of feels like 5 min.

garterman07
03-17-2008, 04:13 PM
yeah dude dont worry i lost my garter in my apartment for like 3 weeks rico is a bit of the escape artist, not even food lured him out my mom ended up finding him in the drawr under the stove curled in a pot just waiting to say come and say hello to mom. just keep watching her if you can try and straighten a wire coat hanger, when rico used to get inplaces i couldnt get too before i had a decent cage i used to put some of the spiciest herbs i could find and blow it to him and around him so when he flicks his tounge he would leave that spot then i could snatch him up.

Snake lover 3-25
03-17-2008, 04:17 PM
ok good idea but what kind of spices?

Snake lover 3-25
03-17-2008, 04:32 PM

Snake lover 3-25
03-17-2008, 04:40 PM

Snake lover 3-25
03-17-2008, 04:51 PM

adamanteus
03-17-2008, 05:01 PM

Snake lover 3-25
03-18-2008, 01:40 PM
Yeah... i have no idea how to take it apart.. and there was no way to move it... but i had my computer already open to the site and you guys seemed like the only ones who would know what to do
