a 10 gallon should be fine for now...once the tadpole starts to change into an adult, he will need to be able to crawl out onto land. he should be ok in the 10 for a while, but a 20 gallon long with water and land for him would be better.

do the bullfrog's swim when they get bigger.
So just get a 20, then when it gets like 2 legs, turn the tank semi-aquatic. 1/2 land or 3/4 land?

hi there.... a 10 gallon tank will be fine for as long as he's a tadpole. when you notice the front legs start to form, that is when you need to switch his tank over to being half land half water... as he grows he is going to need more room... a 20 gallon long tank will suit your needs well until he gets to adult bullfrog size... then I would say you'll need at least a 30 gallon long, a 40 breeder would be optimal. bullfrogs get BIG and they loooove to sit in the water... you want to make sure you've got plenty of water deep enough for your frog to fully submerge itself in.... if its a male it should get a bright yellow chin and you'll hear him croaking at night! man are they loud :P
