your correct lol yeah we've got like 25+ mixed cichlids were putting in there you'll see when i get it set up.. lol

heres the tank we set up for the turtles.. i still need to get one more light for them.. I wanted to put dirt on one side and have water on the other but i dont see how we could do that.. any help would be great if you all know how to do that.. the filter is hooked up as well but we have to figure out how to keep it cycling water..

its a 125..

it looks like it may have trouble bringing the water up to the filter because of the distance
sometimes it helps to a) make sure that there is no air leak where the intake tube connects with the piece that extends down, and b) to prime the filter by making sure the filter chambers are completely full, so that water gets pumped out from the start
if for some reason there is no movement, but the motor is clearly on, you may need to clean the impeller
it's still quite a distance though
you might be better off with a submersible filter
- really cool turtles

thanks that does help me.. ill do what you said.. yeah i was thinking about getting a submersible filter..
and thanks on the turtles.. we've had spaz and flaw for all there lives.. the big red ear slider some one was kicking to the side of the road so we took her home.. she started laying eggs and i got to hatch the only little turtle out of the clutch and now i have Aqua..

to divide it you would have to either buy a divider or make one out of plexi glass and get aquarium sealant......make sure it fits some what snugly and then use the sealant around the edges and let dry for 24 hours then you should be able to fill one side dirt and the other with water.....good luck:D

The turtle setup is really nice, Natalie! Good luck with the filter issue.:)
