Well, the Roach King has done it again.
I displayed my science fair project involving cockroaches today, and placed first in my category, zoology, and won the overall fair. So, in May I'm off to Atlanta Georgia for the international fair, *And of course roach and garter hunting.* I'm so excited. X3

sirtalis, right?
You're correct, Eastern Garters are the only species found in Georgia or the Carolinas.

Wow, congrats, Kyle!!! Way to go!! I love Atlanta... don't you need someone to go with you to help keep watch over all the roaches??!! :-)

PS-- all mine seem to be doing fine... have decided to wait a bit on the hissers due to lack of space. Will keep you posted tho. :-)

Which barrier worked best on either glass or acrylic.
Always use Vaseline on glass. ;D

have you tried that roach barrier stuff from blaberus?
I saw that on their web site and I'm curious
what's that consist of?
so oil doesn't work on glass?

Zephyr

My exact findings are as follows:
Pam Spray, Crisco, and Bug Stop *The stuff on Blaberus* work best on Acrylic, while Pam Spray, Crisco, and Vaseline work best on Glass.

what about just any old veggie oil, like corn or olive oil, safflower, sesame, etc?
would they be like crisco?
there are endless possible products - anything greasy, right?
I've used safflower oil and it seems to do the job (on plastic)

Ah, but remember there are hidden advantages and disadvantages. Those are organic, hence, the roaches can snack on them a deplete the barrier.

aaahh
I did wonder about that

So, I recommend the bug stop on acrylic or vaseline on glass. :D
