I'm currently looking into buying a pair of albino checkered garters.
In the summer, I put my garters outside in a predator-proof enclosure. I've heard that albino organisms are sensitive to UV. Would they be negatively affected by it?
Im not to sure if they will be afected? When i did research into albinos I didnt hear much about snakes with being affected but ii did read about a hippo that didnt have the black pigment and he was getting burned and such. He was even secreting the special sun lotion it has in its body! But othere then that all the dangers you here of is the miscamoflage due to its brght pigment.

Their eyes are more sensitive to light. I would make sure they have plenty of hiding areas, and watch to see if they avoid the sunlight. If they do, I would just move them back inside.
I dont keep lights on any of my albino reptiles.

That's interesting, Loren. That might explain why Rook generally comes out to explore when the lights are off.
