 ... our garters went in to shed a few days ago. Slithers and Clint are doing fine (ie very blue and following a normal shedding pattern) but here's the thing ... both Slithers and clint started to cloud up at the same time and two days later J's eyes went cloudy too and for the past two days he seemed to be heading in the same direction yet today - he looks perfecly fine and colourful yet there's no sign of a shed skin anywhere in the tank .... any ideas anyone?

Snakes don't stay blue for the entire time, they seem to clear up a few days before the shed, then suddenly..TaDa! :D

I know the eyes used to clear on my Ribbons when I had them yet the body colours stayed dull .... will see ... :) just not used to having all these different snakeys ... J just seems set on breaking the mould lol

I don't know if it depends on the species or the individual, but some of my Garters remain dull until they slough, while others 'clear' completely before they lose the old skin. I must take note of which ones do what.

my garters get dull and rough before a shed but my corn gets shiny and smooth. Guess it must be a species thing.

Mordecai's eyes clear up before the shed, but his body stays dull looking. Miriam's eyes clear, and then she seems to get brighter before she sheds. It's confused me a few times, but now I think that's just her thing...

Deejay is apparently on a major growth spurt right now -- she's gone blue again, and she just shed less than a month ago!! I was just getting used to her nice bright colours, and she's gonna go and change again.........:D

This seemed the place to post this one.

Simultaneous shedding:D

I know its all coincidental, 4 of my snakes all had shed skins in the tanks on the same morning.

then last night 3 of the baby milks shed in the same night.

The milks make sense, same litter, same diet / schedule

If they didn't want me to watch, they wouldn't shed in front of me.
