Hey,
I've been really having problems with getting kicked out of the forum when I'm writing a rather long bit of text in the thread. Twice now I've tried to do replies to something and wrote rather long, complicated amount of text to only be "booted" off the site when I tried to send it!!!!! Don't know if it's my PC or somthing here. Really hope it's just something that I can do, by just resetting something.

Hi Roy,
Sorry about the frustration. Guess that is something I can look into. In the meantime, maybe do a copy and paste so you will not lose your text. Just a suggestion. Just a quick question, do you check the “remember me” box when you log in.

I think that you get logged out after ten minutes or so if you do nothing on the forum.
And typing a text is not seen as doing something, I think.
Is this possible, Jason?

I doubt it because I am always logged in on two computers and I doubt it would log you off while your on the site and not when you're not on the site.

When I am at work I have to go to clients so every now and then.
When I come back after 10 - 15 minutes, I have to log in again when I want to react.
Maybe it is because I internet through a network on my work.

Strange. I haven't entered a password for this site in months. I shut down my internet connection when I'm not using it and launch it whenever I want to, but I never have to sign in when I visit this site.

At school I don't have to re-sign in after I log on to a different account (I don't do this at school though :D) and that's a fairly sized network (100+ computers)

At home I keep logged in as long as I do not delete my cookies.
But at work not.
Doesn't matter to me.

Ok.....just got done writing the rather long reply and I did hit the "remember me" button this time when logging on and all seemed to go well. Hopefully that's all that I needed to do.....would hate to loose more post.:)

While I still have a call in to the manufacture about increasing the timeout, the "remember me" should do the trick. Here was their reply
"If users are ... getting logged out, they should click "Remember Me" which uses cookies instead of the very temporary "sessions"."
When I find out how to increase the timeout limit, I will increase it, but till then you should be ok by clicking the "Remember Me" when you log in.

Unless you have a shared computer that people who know about this site use, then there's really no point in not using it anyways.
