I had a dream last night that the disease in i am legend (basically makes you a zombie) was affecting snakes! and i was worried that raven would get it because all i had to give her was infected mice.

one of those mornings when its good to wake up, lol.

Wouldn't it be funny if after all the zombie movies that have been made, the human population is wiped out by some crazy reanimating disease? haha.

Am I the only one who actually enjoys terrifying dreams like that? :D I mean, they're entertaining. :) No, I'm not going to share any of my crazy nightmares, it would ruin my reputation. ;)

I think it would be funnier if it was something completely unexpected. No zombies, no alien invasions, no nuclear holocausts, no asteroids, no pandemics or anything like that. More like something like in Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy. Something completely random or completely unforeseen.

Besides, if zombies ever attack, it's going happen like in Shaun Of The Dead; People aren't even going to notice the difference at first. :D

I don't think 'funny' is quite how I would term it!!

I haven't had a dream (that I remember) for months..... not unless we're including day-dreams.

Really? That sucks! I have very vivid dreams, proper stories. Sometimes I think if I remembered them for long enough to write them down, they'd make great films. :D

I hate my dreams. I always dream about some animal or animals I didn't manage to save. It's like my penance for all the ones I didn't do enough for. I've tried some of the sleep meds but they don't stop you from dreaming. :-(

I'm an anime type of kid, and for some reason in my dreams I always find myself in the anime......but it also happens with starwars, and vampire movies.......................

Had that a few times when I was in an anime rush ( watching a whole season during the night :D...)

Must say that it's indeed like months ago that I can still remember a dream of mine... just like james :(

If your too tired you don't dream, your sleep is just too heavy, you guys need more sleep!! yes my dreams are quite bizarre, who needs to take drugs I just go to sleep, its like another world!!
With practice you can become concsious in a dream, you get to control it, fun but usually only last a short while before you drift into proper dreaming again...

This is fun too:
Sleep paralysis - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sleep_paralysis)

I know I definitely need more sleep. :)

I have actually done some lucid dreaming... and it did start with my attempts to control a nightmare.

I used to dream that I was awake, but paralysed. I could not open my eyes, but I knew exactly what was in the room where I slept... I could hear the clock ticking, knew that I was on the sofa, etc.

I would dream that I was struggling to move and struggling to open my eyes. In my dream, I would get my eyes to flutter enough so that I could see parts of the room but I could not get the lids to stay up. I would try to roll off the sofa, expecting the fall to wake me, but I would either fail, or the fall would not wake me. I would try to call for help, but could not make a sound.

Once, I actually dreamed that I rolled off the sofa, rolled to the front door, and wedged it open with my body, hoping the neighbors would come render aid!

Of course when I finally woke, I had NOT rolled off the sofa, I had NOT seen the room (objects in the dream were in different places than those in waking life), and so forth.

All of these dreams were accompanied by feelings of terror.

Eventually, I taught myself to recognise that I was dreaming, and to relax and stop trying to wake. And this led to the ability to move on to some other dream, knowing that I was dreaming. And once I learned to move on, I would wake naturally at the end of that new dream, and everything was OK.

When I reached that stage, the nightmare stopped recurring. PHEW!

But I still have the occasional dream where I remember that I am dreaming, and I decide what ending I want on the dream. Weird!:D

Actually, both my sister and my brother suffer from episodes of sleep paralysis, and it sounds like an awful sleep disorder to have.
I have apparently lucked out in that department, although I do have some pretty bizarre dreams, most of which I can't remember for more than a minute or two after I wake up.
However, last night I dreamed that my husband had taken a job out of the country, and left me and the kids behind!! I woke up literally sobbing, the poor man must have thought I'd lost my mind, 'cause I pretty much clung to him for the rest of the night.:o

I use alcohol and fatigue to block the dreams I don't want to have. Works for me.;)

Possibly, but I think there's a fine line between "snuggling" and "constricting", that I just may have crossed!! :D

I dreamt once that my boyfriend (and my uncle, odd combination) were both dead, and in my dream i wondered, 'is this a dream? i hope so.' then i woke up IN MY DREAM and thought it wasn't a dream, and was devastated....until i finally woke up for real.

Just over a week ago I had one of those dreams, where your teeth start falling out. This time it was slightly different, at least for me. I kept waking up in my dream, notice that I still had all my teeth, but then they would start falling out again. I think it was six or seven times that I lost my teeth in the dream, before I finally woke up for real. :D

I had an important exam the next day and a job interview the day after that. Nobody needs to tell me what that dream meant. :) But believe me, this was one of my less crazy dreams.

Oh I just HATE those teeth falling out dreams!! It's got to be the most horrible feeling........always a relief to wake up from those.
Is it really stress and anxiety that trigger dental dreams?? I always wondered what they meant.

Here, here!! :D Lol.

For the hoohah on teeth dreams, scan this (http://www.dreammoods.com/cgibin/teethdreams.pl?method=exact&header=dreamid&search=teethintro). For me, it'd be a symbol of powerlessness or paranoia over my appearance or how I'm perceived by others.

I've never had a tooth dream, but I was born (or raised?) with weakly rooted teeth and I fear loosing them when I'm awake, so perhaps that bestows some immunity upon my dreams

The tooth dream - agggghhhhh It never hurts, but if I get this dream, I have literally thousands of teeth in my mouth and I cant get my mouth clear of the damn things!!

with lucid dreaming, I have a trigger...you can set it to what ever you want, for me its my hands.
If I am dreaming and I see my hands, in that instant, i know its a dream, and 1 of two things happens..I either become far too conscious and wake up with the excitement or I take control of the dream, and for me I usually start flying everywhere, just cos its my dream and I can! It never seems to last long though, I tend to drift back off into dream world again!

Ive had all of the dreams you guys have talked about, probably because i do so much thinking when im awake that it carries over into me sleep, my head comes up with some pretty in depth dreams, down to the clothing someone wore that day or a tattoo someone has, and they dont really have a story line, theyre most always incomplete short stories that run on from one to the next.

The worst is when I am stuck on a problem, like a java programming problem... I will dream about it, fix it in my dream, and then wake up and have to write it down quick before I forget!..the sad thing is that the fix usually works,...so does this mean I think more clearly when I am asleep?

i do my homework in my bed before i go to sleep, and sometimes i nod off and i dream i finished the homework, and i wake up like 10 mins before i have to go to school with no homework done, talk about an early let down!

I've come up with solutions to problems in dreams, too. I think maybe when we're awake, we let all our other thoughts crowd in and overshadow our problem-solving skills, so when we finally sleep, our brain can focus more clearly on the problem itself. I don't know for sure, but it does seem to work!
