Which fish can garter's eat?

Hey,
I'm new with garters, and i was just wondering which kind of fish they can eat. I know that they can eat salmon,trout,guppies and stuff like that. I was wondering if they could eat cod,ect.... So which fish can they eat?

Colby, why not be satisfied with trout, salmon and guppies? All safe, and all readily available. Sometimes it's best just to keep things simple.

are there any safe ones that are cheeper? it says that bass, pike, perch are safe right? it would be nice to know whats all safe because whenever i buy it i look for sales and if i have a wider range i might be able to get alower price

Very good point Reed. I also look for 'reduced' items. Commonly it is trout and salmon that is the cheaper option over here anyway. But good point.

trout is usually at the cheap end of the counter in our local fish store
