I wish I had gotten film footage
Henner attacked one of the cats
he still demands to free roam and our solution has been to put the cats in the kitchen and let him have the living room
today Sienna, the mellower cat, was asleep when he wanted to come out, so I left her where she was and when she woke and started watching I just paid attention with water pistol in hand
so Henner sees her on his way back to his cage and they have this staring contest
then he darts toward her, gives her a couple quick taps with his tongue, jumps up, and tries to bat her in the face
she's backed off, but cornered, and he jumps on her again, batting with his claws
at this point she gives him a quick swat, jumps over him and backs away
and he charges in her direction for about a foot, before returning to his cage
I think he is reasserting his supremacy as top pet in this household
never mind that if I didn't have him covered with a water pistol, he'd be dead meat

Too funny! I too wish you had video footage - that would have been funny.

I would love to have seen that. As long as neither of the pets get harmed, things like that are really funny.

Too bad you didn't film it. :) Funny stuff, since neither got hurt.

+1

My bearded dragon will probably grow up to be like yours. He is only about 6", and he has such an attitude! He opens his mouth & hisses at anything that scares him.

That would have been a great little film Rhea, as long as there are no injuries.........:)

ive noticed that cats are always in confrontations with stronger or bigger animals. ive seen cats mess with huge dogs, baby cows, adult wild rat snakes, and now bearded dragons. i guess thats why i hate cats, because they're the drama starter of the animal world.

LMAO, dang! I would have loved to have seen that! My beardie only wants to sleep on my cats... nice warm fuzzy pillows. :)

This reminds me of a quite large dog we once had. One of our cats had him absolutely terrified........the dog would actually sit at the bottom of the stairs and whine if the cat was sitting at the top. We had to pick up the cat and take him out of the way, then go and gently lead the quivering wimpy dog up the stairs!! It was hilarious!

yeah, did i also mention that during my studies of my neighbors many cats ive found that what these balls of fur dont get accomplished with their razor claws, they make up in mental intimidation with those devil eyes.
