Hi Everyone!

Since I am a very new owner to my two garter snakes (Rambo and Sweet Pea). I am not sure how often to feed them. I was able to get them to eat the pinkies instead of the fish as per everyone on this great forum's advise. But how often - they seem very hungry!

Definitely twice a week. I DARED to try once a week and I almost had a mutiny on my hands... LOL!!!

I do mine twice a week as well, but to avoid them becoming too fat from too many mice, I actually feed mice early in the week and then the late week feed is something a bit leaner, like trout, rosies, earthworms or snails.

Hello!

I feed my adult Thamnophis every 7 - 10 days .... and I think this ist enough. The adult female get 3-4 babyrats und the adult male get 2 babyrats. The younger Thamnophis will get their food every 4-7 days.

Depending on the snake's size, 1-2 times/week.

I feed my guys big meals on Tuesdays and Saturdays, and then any snakes, seeing as I house communally, that are looking a tad skinny, were in shed during the feeding, or just didn't get any, get fed an additional meal Thursday.

I also do twice a week though this weekend they'll get an extra feeding so I can gross out my folks who are visiting on Sunday, lol.

I don't know really, I think if I want to... if I not exited to do it (didn't know howe to say) than I don't...
so it's sometimes 2 times a week and sometime 3 weeks nothing.
i think that in the wild, its the same, they feed when the can get a hold of a prey, and that mide take a while.
