Unfortunetally the first little guy died after 2 days, but the shop keeper made good by giving us the largest juvenile he had!:)

Than is a nice little Corn snake and I prefer the normals too. Currently have 3, a young adult female and two hatchlings.

He's very nice! I was just down at the reptile store this evening and I'm definitely feeling a little needy for a new snake. Unfortunately, they are all a little too pricey for me right now so I'll just look longingly at everyone else's pics........

I know that feeling..LOL What kind of prices are you finding your way?I got my normal corn for $59.99 at a reptile shop in Barrie. Then the prices just keep going up depending on color and size...:)

Weeeelllll.............. the particular snakie that I was checking out was called a "Leuko-something or other (leukocystic?leukonistic?) Bug-eyed Rat Snake". She was this beautiful creamy beige colour, and her eyes were bubble shaped like a goldfish. They were asking $179.99.
I can't justify that at the moment, although I may be underhanded enough to see if my kids "want" to buy her with their Christmas money........:D

Yeah for some reason all the American pricing seems to be ridiculously low. It's not like our stock is imported so it really doesn't make sence! That's why I want to know what kind of pricing Anji found:)

lol.Yeah I've seen normal adult corns go for over $200.00 usually proven breeders though...

Lol, I think the word you're looking for is leucistic. Leucistic means the critter has reduced pigmentation (but not a complete lack of pigmentation which would be albino).
I googled "bug eyed rat snake" and here's a pic (http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/forums/showthread.php?t=65856) of a majorly buggy rat snake!
A regular leucistic texas rat snake (http://www.cornsnakes.net/gallery.php?catid=3&id=71).
And one more (http://www.cornsnakes.net/gallery.php?catid=3&id=40). Purty :)

Check out this Paradox leucistic eastern garter snake (http://forum.kingsnake.com/garter/messages/13458.html)

Of all the leucistic snakes out there, this is the one I dream about (http://www.constrictors.com/Collection/BallPythons/BlackEyedLeucisticBallPython.html)...

Ok, this is o.t., but you gotta see all these racks (http://www.cornsnakes.net/images/PhotoGallery/hatchlings5-8-98a.jpg)! Can you imagine?

Thanks for the right word! I was more involved ogling the snake than paying attention to what the name actually was!!!!:o
But that picture is definitely it-- although this one wasn't as white, more beige.
OHHH, I so want one...........

Oooooh check out that white garter!!!! I SO want a solid white snake. I also dream the black eyed lucy balls, lol, but they will never be in my reach!!!!

Laura, I've never figured out how to link to something but put your own title to the link. How did you do that??

Now I want a normal corn! D:
Which is possible because hatchling normals are $15 at the local show next week! *squee* XD

Well you should get one! They're cute little things and get big and purty :) Just be sure it you get a hatchling that it's a guaranteed feeder. If they aren't eating on their own, it's very difficult to get them to start.
