I don't know about snakes, but it was raining iguanas in Florida. Easy pickings...

Yep, I'll be out collecting fresh worms and slugs for a few days. Nice to be able to do in January!!
My friend is going to Florida in a day or two, I told her to catch an iguana for me if it's still 'raining' when she gets there!!:D

Sal won't eat worms?? What if you can't find slugs?
Stitch doesn't seem to care which one I feed him-- in fact he's turning into quite a little glutton lately. He ate a nightcrawler half his size the other day, and last night ate 5 little worms too!

hey,
Absolutly!here in N.Illinois,we've had Western Plains Garter snakes cruising thru are yard on warm winter days,a couple years back we had a mild Dec. and seen quite afew nice sized ones,(round the first week),going thru the flower garden along the side of the house,we just had Temps in the lower 60's here for the last two days,so Ive been watching but saw nothing, today its mid 50's,and Tornado's came thru this area yesterday.Apple Orchard thats about 20 miles away was destroyed, and our kids, got home from school quite late, they where sent to Tornado shelters, just as school was being dismissed,it's been a wild 24 hrs.!!!

Wow, Joe! No matter how much I like to see springlike weather in January, I think a tornado is just a bit too much!!
Hope everyone is okay, bet the kids got a good scare, though.

We just had a short but extremely intense thunder storm... complete with hailstones. It's back to normal (rain) now!
