ok well i went to the woods today and nothing flat that snakes could really hide under :( butt i did find a baby ribbon snake among the dead leaves i was exited at first because i thought it was a baby similis because it has a little blue, should i keep him?? the only reason i ask this is he looks very small and couldnt be much more than a month old

well even a Ribbon with some blue in it must look pretty, so if you have the room and don't mind I'd keep it,but it is deff. up to you to make that choice Reed...............:)

If it's a Ribbon with blue colouration, it would be nitae, right? Got to be worth keeping!

it only has a wee bit of coloration but you never know with these guys usually they get darker so maybe depends if i find other specimens later in the trip

find me a black racer and a yellow ratsnake while you're at it Reed.:) I'll pick 'em up from your house.
hey there reed ... happy holidays to you ... sure wish I was in FLA !!! St Augustine is on the Atlantic right ?? I thought the SIMILIS were found in Polk county on the Gulf side right below Tampa. It's been quite some time since I have kept Similis so please correct me if I am wrong ... YEARS ago way before the 911 & new airport security I bought a stunning SIMILIS from a reptile pet shop on the Gulf & brought her home in my pocket, on the plane, lol :) It turns out Mark Malfatti (the Daddy of all stunning colored SIMILIS at the time) had sold 2 litters to this reptile shop so she came 'home' to FLA by way of California !!!
Best to you reed,
