:D One little incident and it's the end of the world. ;)
I wonder when my parents are going to notice that there are four snakes in the house instead of the usual one. ;)

My mother-in-law would have a heart attack on the spot if any of my snakes ever got out while she was over. She won't even sit near the tanks when she's visiting!!:D:D

gregmonsta

Where do you´ve lived in Germany, Greg?

Udo, I think you should leave the country! There are now at least 3 regulars on this forum who have grown up in Germany but "fled" the country later on, lol. I can't remember if Rhea (drache) said where she was from originally, but I was born in Heidelberg and also lived in the Black Forest and near Stuttgart.
Don't you dare form a sub committee, James! Don't leave us Southerners out!

I'm from the Odenwald - Heiligkreuzsteinach - very close to Heidelberg
I didn't flee though - I was exiled
and I've always wanted to visit Scottland
but now I'm so far away

Where do you´ve lived in Germany, Greg?
I used to live around Offenburg ... first in Elgersweier and then in Ebersweier :D it was nice ... I started my reptile obsessing there when I was about 7 . I would catch lizards and slow-worms and bring them home as 'pets for the night' ;).

Offenburg on the Black Forest's door step? I think those woods have a lot to answer for! I lived in Stegen, Dreisamtal. Those two years were some of the most intense of my life and probably shaped the way I feel about animals now. All those nights in the barn with cows, saving kittens, baby mice, bringing home anything that moved and simply couldn't survive without SuperEsther! :D

Yup :) that's the right Offenburg ... the black forest and the countryside in general is just gorgeous ... I find myself missing the life over there every now and again ...
