I found this guy at a local pet store. Can someone help me out with the subspecies?:confused:

hes got a nice light blue tint but you cant see it as well in the photos

I think it's a T. proximus proximus, but lets see what the ribbon experts say. :)

I would also say proximus proximus. But I'm also not an expert with ribbon snakes...

thanks everyone. i was looking at some pics in my audobahn reptile and amphibian field book and im pretty sure its a western as well. I used to think ribbons and garters were the same due to the sharing of the thamnophis family, but i can see now they have some diffrences.
