Geronimo is part of Airforce TACP special force team & left Sunday from Texas for Iraqu. He left me a myspace message Monday morning that he was in Germany waiting for the plane to take him the rest of the way. He will not be back for at least 6 months. His mother(my wife) is very emo right now. My hope is the war would end, but until then, all prayers are needed!
Thanks,
Jerry

I cannot imagine how it must feel when your kid goes to fight in a war.
I wish all of you a lot of strength.

I hope he'll return safe. I can't imagine it either, but I don't think I'd like to imagine it...

Stay strong, Jerry, so that he can too. X
You and your family will be in my thoughts. As a parent I can't imagine that any words can help during this time but hope the time passes quickly and he will be home safe and sound before you know it.

Jerry, sending prayers and hugs from here. I can't imagine how hard this is, and I know there are no magical comforting words. Be strong for him and he will be back before you know it.

Many prayers and good wishes for your son as well as your wife and yourself. It breaks my heart whenever I think of what a parent sending their child off to do something so dangerous must go through. All the best from my family to yours.

Thank you all! Geronimo & I have a great relationship. We both still tell each other "I love you" before we hang up the phone. I am sure so many parents are concerned for their children. I must say the hardest thing is not being able to communicate with him. It does give me comfort to know people are praying or doing what they can to help while our children are away.
Thanks again,
Jerry
