What is the common name for atratus atratus? I'm not familiar with them, but it's a very pretty snake! (even if it's a miserable bugger as you say!!;))

T. a. atratus is the Santa Cruz Garter Snake, a sub-species of the Western Aquatic Garter. Like it. Want it!:D

I think they are readily available in Europe.... though maybe not in the UK. I've never seen one 'in the flesh'.

Those aquatics are really nice, but never see them offered.
Scott Felzer has had them, but I seem to recall that he lost the female (I could be wrong)

Yeah, would be very nice to have him on board...Although some scientist (is he a scientist? ) can be quite ...yeah...how should I say that...They can act like they are always wright...and everyone else is wrong...Can be quite anoying....
