I found him pretty Lethargic sitting in the rain outside yesterday :(, I'm thinking it just got to cold to fast for the little guy. I warmed him up have him in a tank right now. Once he warmed up he's quite the fast little thing. The thickest part on him is no wider than a pencil, He's pretty small. I took some pictures hoping someone here can inform me of exactly what kind of snake Spartikus is?!

I would say northwestern garter (thamnophis ordinoides). Looks pretty dark. Even though it is about it shed. Anyone else?

Very hard to tell from the pics. What ever it is, it's getting ready to shed, curious to see what it looks like after it's shed. Where did you find it? A location will help with Id'ing theh little guy. I'm leaning towards maybe T.s.sirtalis, but like I said VERY hard to tell.

:o I live near Kelowna British Columbia. Spartikus was in my backyard, I have a goldfish pond back there but usually only seen adult garter snakes around. Then there was babies but they always slithered away that was about a month back then I stopped seeing them until I found him yesterday not moving much. I don't know too much about snakes, But it's defiantly getting cold here quite quickly and I guess he wasn't equipped for the weather.
Now since I am taking care of him I just wanted to be sure hes not some dangerous snake *lol* I have tried to read as much info as possible but I was not completely sure of what he was.

It's cool James. You are my favorite moderator.
There are so many posts it is impossible to see all of them. I was really just playing and a "shut up Rich" would've been totally fine.:)
