funny neck and head movement

hi all my snake was craining his neck in the funniest way yesterday, he was outside in my hand and was acting very strange!
check out the gallery , got 2 shots of him doing it.
look under funny snake to find it ...
he seem to be smelling the air or testing it , maybe because of the change of seasons!!
