Blue-Stripe is T. sirtalis similis. Florida Blue is just a regional colour variation of T. sirtalis sirtalis.

I read it. T. s. similis are usually smaller though. I knew a guy a few years ago who was 7' 6". People do get that tall, but not usually.:)

no not really, I guess if you averaged it out it would be some where around 6', but the worlds larges man was from the U.S. and his name was
Robert Wadlow he was 8'11" when he died at the age of 22 from an infection.......................

I thought they'd found a Chinese guy now over 9 foot tall. Loads of publicity about him, about 18 months ago.

Anyway, just to bring this back onto topic...I'd still like to see a photo of a Blue Stripe that big.

I remember listening to a story on NPR (The U.S.'s version of a watered down BBC) that the average American is getting smaller. The tallest, if I can remember, were the Danes.
Way off topic, but...

all I know is that when I moved to the US, I was suddenly no longer the shortest person I knew
I'm only 5'2" (in the morning) and I see tons of people (even guys) on the subway that are shorter than me
so if you have a short snake, tell it there's no reason to strain one's neck - move to where the short snakes live
