I´m working on an article about my first bred amelanistic (albino) red sided in Europe.
I need further informations about the start of this strain.
The oldest dokument I know is a picture of an adult female in a book of Perlowin (1994).
Do you know any articles, pictures, forum posts or anything else earlier than 1998?

Scott started with hets that were required from John Meltzer in 1998.
The female pictured in the book of Perlowin (1994) was owned by Eric Thiss. But I´ve not able to get any contact to those two.

Maybe its boring, but...
Is there anybody here in contact to John Meltzer or Eric Thiss to tell them about my search for informations?
My spoken English is to bad to call them by phone furthermore it would be expensive and I don´t know thier numbers.

What had happend to the first offspring (hybrids) of the wild caught female?
Were the babies Scott Felzer required offspring of the original female?
How many generations were produced between 1993 and 1998?
How many hets and albinos were bred during this years?
What had hapend to the original female?
What had happend to the other offspring?
I only know the pictures of James Gerholdt.
Are any further pics avaliable, showing some of the specimens of the breeding project?

These are the main questions but I would find a thousand more:D

Hope that I could tell the hole story of the strain with this informations.

I´m in close contact to Scott.
He had to answere more questions than these.
He gave me a nice contact to first owner after the catcher as well.
I ´ve got some further informations from James Gerholdt, who took the first (and only?) professional photos of the original female.

Sad to say, but I think it´s time to give up:(
Thanks a lot again for your support.
Maybe there´s a member, who remember my questions when he or her meets John Meltzer or Eric Thiss on any show.

Three years has gone by, the article is written and got old,
but the history of the years 1993-1998 is still blury.
