ok, I am close friends with my bosses family and she and her husband are gone all day tomorow and asked me to stay with their daughter. their daughter asked me if I could bring Rook over to her house with me tomorow, but as I have never owned a snake before I'm not sure if thats a good idea? I'm worried that it might be to stressful for such a young snake(he'll be 6 weeks tomorow). I have heard lots of storys about people taking their snakes places with them, but Rook is pretty young...

It would probably be best to leave it home. It'd be stressful, plus garters can be fast and squirmy and they aren't always the best to hold if they get too stressed.

I agree, it's best to leave it home.

same as everyone else.... Especially a baby garter....taking a larger python is still stressful, but less chance of life threatening injuries...baby garters are tiny and easily injured by kids just trying to handle them...

just wanted to mention that the girl isnt a young child, she is in her early teens and has a reptile herself(a 9 week old bearded Dragon) :p I mostly certianly would not even consider it if this was a very young child lol

If your snake is only 6 weeks of age and you´ve got no further experience on snakes its no good idea to take it anywere.
I´ve visited schools and kindergardens with my garters, also with some juveniles but I´ve stared this after some years of experiences.
