I found three baby blue Puget garters!!!!!!!!! I talked to the man extensively today-- his name is Greg Johnson, from NYC-- I really liked him, he asked me questions and answered everything I asked him... seems very knowledgeable, and seems to care about the welfare of the snakes but before I go any further-- anything I should know?!

He has the parents, who were wild caught. These babies are eating f/t pinkies (in pieces-parts, ugh, lol). He sent me pics, and omg, they are cuuuuute.

So I hope this will work out!!!!!! :-) :-)

Josh, I stumbled across him by just doing a general search for "Puget Sound garters" and was directed to an ad he had on venomousreptiles.org. I emailed him and he called me right back, then sent pics and we talked at length today.

He just has the 3 babies for sale right now. He said the adults he has are difficult feeders, and the impression I got is he's not comfortable letting them go.

I've got feelers out everywhere, so if I hear of anymore, I'll let you know for sure.

Rhea, he's on Staten Island. Hedgehog, I already emailed him the link, LOL!!!

Tori, thanks-- very glad to hear he's good! He seemed very nice and easy to talk to, willing to answer everything. I liked, too, that he wanted to talk in person before sending the animals out. :-)

Roy, will send pics for sure. And will then bug you all non-stop every time the little guys blink funny. lol

I can see Rhea heading over to Staten Island soon.... :-)

I understand there's quite a population of Easterns there as well, and I've got an invite to go herping with a guy who keeps monitors

We were going to drive to charleston, SC and would be passing scott frasier, but now it looks like we'll be flying. so since no saving on shipping, anywhere willl do now.

Avoid the 'Red Wrigglers', they're toxic. Nightcrawlers are fine.:)

I have a few in my gallery, but the pics don't do them any justice, for some reason its hard to pick up on there color when taking a pic.....:)
some have a bluish-green color to them and the others have a nice blue color, kinda like a puget, but lighter, I hope they stay this way, but they are only babies so will see if it changes at all............meanwhile I'll try to
get better pics and hope some color comes out in them...............:D

I've noticed that the majority of photos that feature Pugets fail to pick up their color, I don't know why though.

Okay, I know it's not a good picture (taken through plastic), but here's the first shot I've taken of my red phase pickeringii.

They are actually a lot nicer looking than the photo shows, especially the male (above). In the pic they just look like parietalis, but they're actually quite different.
I didn't know you were getting some, Justin.
