We are having a pretty decent year here. This was my first year to produce Tessera cornsnakes of my own, my absolute favorite corn gene. Ended up with 11 babies and proved out the het I most wanted my Tessera boy to have, Caramel, and also almost certainly proved him to be one of only a handful of of proven homo Tessera corns out there, as every baby from him was a Tessera. That's a fairly big deal.
Caramel Tessera baby.

Thanks j, it was tough going waiting for the runt of the clutch to pip. I wound up cutting across the 2 slits in the egg to give her more room to put her head through. She pipped later that night.

I know his post actually made me make a run to my local petsmart just to check. Alas still asking a silly $430. Then I stopped by the local reptile store and they wanted to sell me a female high white for $475. At those prices I would argue your prices are a steal Albert and the deal Tommy got is insane.
d_virginiana
01-17-2016, 05:02 AM
$295 is still a great price for a pied! Especially being from someone who's involved in the reptile community. It's a more trustworthy source than the petstores.

That's why my animals are only being offered to members of the forums. People who for the most part are veterans of the proper care and husbandry. Also, I care about every animal that I raise and am committed to the health of each and every one from garter to python to kingsnake. Thanks Lora!

Great pic Steve!!
Thanks Eddie. I am so proud of Tank and the great turtle he has become. He dropped his guard completely before I did. He stopped watching every move I would make. He accepts me and my contact. Whether it's just our talk time or a full turtle inspection, he gives me full access. I've dropped my guard also now. This closeness he wants is amazing considering he's suppose to be a lower thinking animal. If one of my kids take him out of his water he'll walk out into the living room and run to me much like a dog would. I believe he gets comfort from our contact. He certainly doesn't look at me as a rival male and he doesn't see me as a mate. I just call him my buddy and smile every time he gets excited to see me. I'm a blessed man.

Jordan lives in a 10 gallon tank with a regulated heat pad ( Herpstat thermostat) and a uva/ uvb lamp. Eco earth and foliage (plastic) and a rock hide. Raised on nightcrawlers , live guppies , pinkies, and horned worms. He recently started being vocal. I say he now bc most say the males are the vocal ones of the sexes.http://www.thamnophis.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=13677&stc=1

Thought I'd take some photos of my Knight Anole as she finished her shed. The lights mess with my phone and its unfortunately really difficult to capture just how vibrant her coloration actually is. I'd say she's about done growing now, I've had her since she was just a few days old, which is good with me because I really don't want to have to get an even larger Exo Terra for her.http://www.thamnophis.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=14136&stc=1

This is my new hognose. He's a little hissy in the tank, but handles well and has been surprisingly easy to feed. The last two times I thawed a fuzzy for him, he didn't eat it until the next morning! Love that pic Steve! A couple of months ago I was in a pet store here on LI and they had a snapper about the size of quarter in with a bunch of sliders and I was watching the sliders nip his tail so bad that I felt bad. Long story short "Sherman" now lives with me and has already tripled in size!! I thought you might like this story Steve :)

14793After being off food for almost 3 months, and in and out of sheds and aestivation, Jordan ate! We have been trying different foods, changing his enviornment both aesthetics and heating but nothing worked. Ironically, he only lost a minimum amount of weight. Any updates on Tank?
Nothing much. He continues to be docile and engaging. He wants to spend most of his time with me. I can't even go to the bathroom without him following me. He sits outside the door until I come back out. Then it's back in the living room for more face-to-face time. He is a hands-on turtle. My once in a lifetime turtle. I have learned so much about this species only because Tank let me into his world. These are intelligent turtles and not the vicious animals many think they are. If threatened, they will defend themselves.
Thanks for your interest. You can find Tank on Facebook @Tank Gilfillan. He also has a web page, tanktheturtle.com.

Very nice Natrix maura, Thamnophis. I'd love to have a Natrix in my "collection".
I'd post a picture of my other pets, but I doubt anyone would be interested in seeing a guppy tank.
I'd be interested in seeing the guppy tank - I raised them years ago. A house fire from a faulty aquarium filter and or light made me give up my tanks.
