hey guys,
I noticed something on my young parietalis...and I would like to hear your opinions about it....

Today I noticed the young ones having some red colour going to their belly scales. Not scale rot, but real colour.
I suddenly linked that to the red scales my adults have.
My question now...Is there someting like erytristic parietalis?
I'm not saying my parietalis are erytristic, but the tought crossed my mind:confused:

Yeah...sometimes thoughts do that...

Some pictures to make things a bit more clear. At the picture of one of the young snakes, you can actually see the red coming in.

Honestly I think that parietalis is a very variable subspecies with how much red they're showing. I've seen some with almost no red on them at all and others that are just on fire! Whether this makes them erythristic or just showing more red, I don't know. If they normally only had a little red on them, I'd say yes....'cause this would be very out of the norm., but with how they are, I think I'd just have to call them "damn pretty" parietalis.:D

I would have to agree with the above, but it is indeed a very nice snake:)
