Just registered today - I have a quick question. I saw what I thought was a garter snake on my front porch, and used my broom to help boost it off into the gravel. I noticed that the tail was very blunt - whereas, in photos of garter snakes, they look very long and sharp - do you think it was indeed a garter snake??
Thanks:(
i would need a photo.
garter are like people.
comes in a different sizes colors and shapes:)

Hi Barb, and welcome to the forum.:) Garters often get injured in the wild, and frequently lose a section of the tail.....that would of course make it appear blunt. As Josh says though, a picture would help.
