Can I reuse an old tank I have?

My daughter and I are planning for the day we get a garter, hopefully soon if mama let's use. We have a 12.5Wx24Lx17H tank laying around. Question is will this tank be good enough for a garter to grow and live in, baby all the way to adulthood?

1 to 10 bleach water solution should kill any pathogens. Be sure to rinse multiple time and allow it to air dry before using it.
