It seems like they have almost completely disappeared from the hobby. Is it a supply/demand issue? Or are people having trouble getting them to reproduce? They are fairly easy in my experience and some of my favorites so I'm just curious. I would love to see a resurgence in their popularity that extends further than a few dedicated keepers.

They havent reproduced well for many people. Its been hit or miss. Ive seen lots of babies been then those babies have to be successfull...plus with their popularity not that great...so its a combination of things

I bought the pair from Don. My het albino holdbacks should breed this year too. Hopefully, more people will be successful reproducing them in the future. It isn't as simple as most garters but it isn't difficult either. I wouldn't mind sharing my methods with anyone attempting to breed them.

Not as much as some of the guys here probably. But I do have a solid track record of being successful and having good survival rates. I am gearing back up to get several groups going again. This season, I will only have 2-3 litters most likely but they will be quality animals with good genetics.
