I have opportunity for some Pugets in a trade.
Does anyone know if they are allowed in California.
As far as i can read, California does NOT recognize subspecies, therefore the Pugets would be Thamnophis sirtalis.
No species native to california (does not say only endemic) are allowed without a permit.
Does anyone know the actual answer, not the logical answer (its from Washington therefore not native etc).
The same would apply to the protected Lampropeltis zonata (there is a relic population in washington).
I have emailed multiple DFW emails and nobody ever responds.
