Joe, please feel free to add pics of your marcianus to this thread. It's doesn't have to be exclusively my Checkereds in here! Just follow these simple instructions.:)

Very nice ones, James :) Their color is a bit differend than our marcianus, I like it:rolleyes:

adamanteus

They are very young snakes at the moment, only about 22" long. Who knows how their colour might develope? I hope they keep this colouration, but we'll see next year!

Very nice looking checkereds! I love their colour, wish I'd see some like that at the shows, I'd scarf them up. Most I've seen are more brownish, the nice green colour looks great.

James are your checkereds more laid back then other species of garters?

adamanteus
08-14-2007, 04:03 PM
Yes, they are very calm and easy to handle. So are my radix though.

Serpentine99
08-14-2007, 04:12 PM
I've noticed that too. I would say it's one of the best garters for a beginner, as well as the Radix.

adamanteus
08-14-2007, 04:13 PM
Yeah, definitely, maybe more so for radix.

In truth, she gets her looks from her beautiful Mother, her (astonishing) brains from her Grandfather and her affinity with animals and her stubborn streak I take the credit for!

Offcourse it has...Are their any subspecies that you really really really dont want in your collection?

by the way James...I've caught you a Argiope bruennichi. Already? Yeah...semi long term captive animal...Would be dissapointing if it died soon after arrival...
