So the background is that we went out of town for a week and a half, and it looks like her light bulb burned out. Prior to that, she took three pinkies after I danced them around her enclosure enough (I hadn't had to do that before - she has always been a good eater, but now isn't interested in anything - pinkies, nightcrawlers, salmon, live rosy red minnows. Nothing. And I'm wondering if I just haven't tried the right food yet. Is there a go to food for infernalis that's different for other species? Tadpoles or frogs perhaps? She doesn't even flick her tongue out at anything anymore.

Also, my hail Mary is brumation, but this to me is a last resort. She's very skinny, and so my questions are how skinny is too skinny for an emergency brumation? How long would you brumate a skinny snake that hasn't eaten in 6 weeks?

She's a yearling female.

Sorry for the information dump. I've read through the other threads, but not seen anything specific to infernalis and special food for them.

I take it the heat is back on for her?

As well as the heat, I would consider just making sure there is fresh water to drink and soak in. The heat is key though. Monitor her response to the heat and to hydration. You may want to place her in a small locking tub to soak. Don't offer too many meals frequently bc that will reinforce refusals. The level of water to soak in shouldn't be deep at all just enough to cover her ventral scales and cloaca.
