My pet garter snake eats worms and fish, but I've had no luck feeding her pinky mice. I prepare the pinky by first defrosting it in the refrigerator, then place placing it in warm water before waving it in front of my garter's face with a pair of chopsticks, but she doesn't seem to bite. It's been a week since I fed her, and I have used a deli cup (to no avail) as well as "assist feeding", but that just stressed her out. I have also tried scenting the mouse by rubbing it with an earthworm, but that didn't change much either. I'm getting worried and honestly, it's just a waste of a mouse's life every time I try. Any help is appreciated. Thanksss~~~

Scenting usually does trick. Try cutting up the night crawler and scenting the mouse with all the juices. Try dicing up the fish, add a little water and give it a good mixing. Try scenting again.

Good advice Steve. You can take a pinky and a worm and cut them in small pieces. mix them up together and put them on the lid of a deli cup and put it in your snakes cage. The snake should eat it if it already eats worms. Repeat this every feeding reducing the amount of worm a little at a time until its just pinky parts. Thats how I do it with problem feeders. Good luck!!
