Well wish me luck keeping them alive the next couple years, so I can make more. I hope to make a lot of them in the next couple years, so lots of people have them. Believe it or not it's not about the money for me, making money selling garters means absolutely nothing to me. The comradery is the only reason I ever even show up. I want people to value them, because we take care of things we value, but I also want to see these morphs commonplace in the hobby someday, because they will elevate the garter snake as a treasured and respected pet among many new people...not just us hard core garter geeks.
I say this because even people that I show pics of these baby garter snakes to that didn't give a crap about snakes let alone garter snakes prior, are wowed and intrigued. Sometimes "bling bling" is what is needed to win hearts enough to see through to the awesome personality...lets face it; garter snakes aren't furry and cuddly.
