Ripped Skin- Help!

So my father put gorilla tape on the top of my tank because it was missing a big chunk on the back. My baby garter went missing and I couldn't find him. When I took the lid off and didn't find him in the tank, I looked at the top to find his whole body was stuck to the tape! I eventually got him off, but he left behind a grey layer of belly skin. He is very fragile and squishy. Does he need to go to the vet or will he eventually get better? What can I do to help him? Please help!

If you have a Vet that will see the snake I'd suggest that. Is it scales that are off or skin and scales?

A tip you hopefully won't have to use in the future but useful to know anyways is that glue traps and sticky tape you can help free a snake using any edible oils like coconut, vegetable, olive, etc. Just avoid the face.

The skin. His belly is very soft and squishy, and his eyes are cloudy as well.

I would use paper towel as a substrate and remove anything sharp or rough that might impact the belly.

Unfortunately, due to complications, I found him dead just a few hours ago :(
