After joining about a year ago (?), in anticipation of getting garters, I got distracted with other species and projects. So, a rosy boa, a pittuophis, numerous fish, and a few birds later, I'm looking at this project again!
Plans are for two, maybe three male T. radix plains garters, wild type (although, I'm not breeding, and won't care what they might be het. for), and a long planted tank (preferably four feet, maybe a 40 gallon long). Hard to find for a reasonable price. All my other tanks are 36" long 40 breeder size foot print, and I think an active animal can use a bit more space - I know my cornsnake would agree.
Tank will be planted, with a carved foam background for rocky ledges.
Anyway, been reading, just to see what everyone is up to so far, and look at availability from spring litters (correct term?).
